These scripts provide 探花大神 Admins a quick and easy way to collect all the necessary log files to troubleshoot 探花大神 related issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>For Linux diagnostics, see the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/The探花大神\/support\/blob\/master\/scripts\/linux\/log_collection.sh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Linux Log Collection Script<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"macOS\">macOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The macOS Log Collection script generates a comprehensive archive of 探花大神 service and related system logs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To view the script, see <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/The探花大神\/support\/blob\/master\/scripts\/macos\/log_collection.sh\">macOS Log Collection Script<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Running-via-探花大神-Commands-(recommended)\">Running via 探花大神 Commands (Recommended)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two configuration options located at the top of the script:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-code-block code-block\"><div class=\"code-block-snippet is-type-body-default\">\n<p>automate=false # set to true if running via a 探花大神 command (recommended)<br>days=2 # number of days of OS logs to gather<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The <code>automate<\/code> variable allows the script to run in a silent, non-interactive fashion suitable for use via 探花大神 Commands. To enable this run mode, change the value to <code><code>automate=true<\/code><\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The <code>days<\/code> variable adjusts the amount of system logs to gather from the macOS logging system. This value should be set as low as possible to capture the events related to the case. Extending this value may result in very large log files, and may substantially extend the run time of the script.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>When running via 探花大神 Commands, be sure to run as \u201croot\u201d and set a \u201cTimeout\u201d value long enough to allow the script to finish. A timeout of 1800 seconds is recommended. Most runs will complete within 2 minutes, however depending on log verbosity and collection window, this time may increase substantially.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If a user is logged in to the device the script is running on, upon completion a macOS Finder window will open the <code>\/Users\/&lt;username&gt;\/Documents<\/code> directory to reveal the completed log archive. The archive will be named <code>jc-logArchive-[systemID]-[datestamp].tar.gz<\/code> and may be emailed to your Customer Success Manager or active support case.\n<ul>\n<li>If no user is logged in to the device, then the above archive will be written to the <code>\/var\/tmp\/<\/code> directory with the same name in the previous section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-running-commands-locally\">Running Commands Locally<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The log collection script requires access to protected areas of the OS in order to complete. Because of this, \u201cFull Disk Access\u201d is required for either <code><code>\/bin\/bash<\/code><\/code> or the Terminal application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To grant Full Disk Access permissions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>System Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Privacy &amp; Security<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Full Disk Access<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>+<\/strong> icon and browse to <strong>Applications<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Utilities<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Terminal.app<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the access is enabled for that application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To run the script, open the Terminal app, navigate to the directory where you saved the script, and run <code>sudo \/bin\/bash log_Collection.sh<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When run manually, you will be prompted to acknowledge the script will collect the listed items from the system.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once done, the <code><code>\/Users\/&lt;username&gt;\/Documents<\/code><\/code> directory opens in a macOS Finder to reveal the assembled archive which you can share with your 探花大神 representative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-collected-information\">Collected Information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>探花大神 Agent Logs, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Agent, Installation, Tray app, Remote Assist service and Loginwindow logs from \/var\/log\/<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User agent, Device-trust keychain, and Remote Assist logs from each managed user\u2019s ~\/Library\/Logs directory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>探花大神 Go and Loginwindow logging from the macOS Logging system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patch management configuration and notification logs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>System Telemetry, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Currently applied software update settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Presented\/Available macOS Software Update list<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Details of all installed configuration profiles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>appstored process logs (for VPP &amp; Custom software deployment logs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Filesystem details<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FileVault status and SecureTokens provisioned on the system (no secrets are collected)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Windows\">Windows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Windows Log Collection Script lets you collect all necessary application and event viewer logs, configuration files, and registry keys. This enables you or your 探花大神 support representative to quickly find information related to your issues to allow for faster issue resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The script can run via 探花大神 Commands, or Collection Script<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Running-via-探花大神-Commands-(recommended).1\">Running via 探花大神 Commands (Recommended)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you run the Log Collection script from the 探花大神 Admin console, you need to create a new Windows Powershell command, and change the <code>$automate<\/code> value from <code>$false <\/code>to <code>$true<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-code-block code-block\"><div class=\"code-block-snippet is-type-body-default\">\n<p>############### Do Not Modify Below<br>set to $true if running via a 探花大神 command (recommended)<br>$automate = $true<br>#<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Setting the <code>$automate<\/code> value to <code>$true<\/code> ensures the script is executed on the end user\u2019s device without user intervention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When set to <code>$true<\/code>, the script will automatically run with the All Logs selection. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This will gather all logs and files listed in the Collected Information selection, with the exception of the Active Directory Integration logs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The log output location is <code>C:\\Windows\\Temp\\$hostname_Jumpcloud_Agent_Logs.zip<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Running-Locally.1\">Running Locally<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To run the script manually<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open an elevated PowerShell prompt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to the directory where you saved the script.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run etls<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>DiagnosticLogCSP_Collector_DeviceProvisioning_<\/em>: Provisioning etls (Microsoft-Windows-Provisioning-Diagnostics-Provider)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MDMDiagHtmlReport.html: Summary snapshot of MDM configurations and policies.Includes, management url, MDM server device ID, certificates, policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MdmDiagLogMetadata.json: mdmdiagnosticstool metadata file that contains command-line arguments used to run the tool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MDMDiagReport.xml: contains a more detailed view into the MDM configurations, such as enrollment variables, provisioning packages, multivariant conditions, and others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MdmDiagReport_RegistryDump.reg: contains dumps from common MDM registry locations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MdmLogCollectorFootPrint.txt:
