You can reuse the file across multiple devices.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Open the&nbsp;<strong>jcagent-msi-signed.msi<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Install<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Finish<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"msi-gpo-intune\">Installing via Group Policy Objects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also install the 探花大神 Agent to Windows devices by using Windows Group Policy Objects (GPO) to deploy the PowerShell install script.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>For more information, see Microsoft&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/troubleshoot\/windows-server\/group-policy\/use-group-policy-to-install-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Use Group Policy to remotely install software<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create a new PowerShell script for the Agent install:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"http:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">探花大神 Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT &gt; Devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click (&nbsp;<strong>+<\/strong>&nbsp;) to add a new device, then select the Windows tab.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Install via PowerShell<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under <strong>PowerShell Install Command<\/strong>, click to copy the install command.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a <strong>.ps1<\/strong> file with this Agent install command.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create the Group Policy Object:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>See Microsoft&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/previous-versions\/windows\/it-pro\/windows-server-2012-r2-and-2012\/jj717274(v=ws.11)\">Create a Group Policy Object<\/a><\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>From the Windows Start menu, find <strong>Windows Administrative Tools<\/strong> and open <strong>Group Policy Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under <strong>Group Policy Objects<\/strong>, right-click and select <strong>New<\/strong> to create a new GPO, with a name like <strong>JC Agent Deploy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Right-click the new GPO you just created and select <strong>Edit&#8230;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Group Policy Management Editor<\/strong>, under <strong>Policies<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Windows Settings<\/strong> in the left menu, select <strong>Scripts<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Startup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <strong>Startup Properties<\/strong>, click <strong>Add&#8230;<\/strong>, then click <strong>Browse&#8230;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Browse<\/strong> window opens to a default UNC path. Copy the <strong>jcagent.ps1<\/strong> script from the saved location and paste it into the browsed location, then click <strong>Open<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card important\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/important-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Important:<\/strong> \n<p>The location of the script must be a UNC path and not a local path.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Apply<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong>. You&#8217;ve now attached the install script to run at startup.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Link the GPO to the desired OU:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>In <strong>Group Policy Management<\/strong>, find the group you want to apply this GPO to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Right-click and select <strong>Link an Existing GPO&#8230;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the Group Policy objects list, select the <strong>JC Agent Deploy<\/strong> GPO you created above and click <strong>OK<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Open the GPO and click <strong>Settings<\/strong>. You can view the install script (<strong>jcagent.ps1<\/strong>) that&#8217;s set to run on startup under <strong>Computer Configurations (Enabled)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Right-click the GPO in the left menu and select <strong>Edit&#8230;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under <strong>Computer Configuration<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Policies<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Administrative Templates &gt; Windows Components, select Windows PowerShell<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Turn on Script Execution<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Enabled<\/strong> and, under <strong>Options<\/strong>, select <strong>Allow local scripts and remote signed scripts<\/strong> as the <strong>Execution Policy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Open the GPO and click <strong>Settings<\/strong>. You can view the install script (<strong>jcagent.ps1<\/strong>) that&#8217;s set to run on startup under <strong>Computer Configurations (Enabled)<\/strong>. The execution policy is now set.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>After reboot, the 探花大神 Agent is installed on startup without admin privileges required. You should see these events once the Agent is installed successfully:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Event 1520, GroupPolicy (Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy) &#8211; The Group Policy settings for the computer were processed successfully. New settings from 1 Group Policy objects were detected and applied.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Event 1040 MsiInstaller &#8211; Beginning a Windows installer transaction: C:\\windows\\Temp\\jcagent-msi-signed.msi. Client Process Id: 4192.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Event 11707, MsiInstaller &#8211; Product: 探花大神 Agent v.1.193.2 &#8212; Installation completed successfully.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installing Via PowerShell<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To install the 探花大神 Agent using PowerShell:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"http:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">探花大神 Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to<strong>&nbsp;DEVICE MANAGEMENT &gt; Devices<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click (&nbsp;<strong>+<\/strong>&nbsp;) to add a new device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Windows&nbsp;<\/strong>tab.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy the text provided in the PowerShell Install Command window.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On your device, open a PowerShell prompt as an administrator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paste the text into the prompt and press&nbsp;<strong>enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installing Via Provisioning Package<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When enrolled in MDM, you can bulk install the 探花大神 Agent on Windows devices with a provisioning package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/enroll-windows-mdm-using-provisioning-package\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Enroll Windows MDM Using a Provisioning Package<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verifying Installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After you\u2019ve installed the agent on the destination Windows device, you&#8217;ll need to verify that the installation works with 探花大神.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can verify the installation on a Windows device from the following places:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#programs-and-features\">Programs and Features<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#verifying-the-windows-service\">Windows Service<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#verifying-in-the-jumpcloud-admin-portal\">探花大神 Admin Portal<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verifying in Programs and Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In Windows, the 探花大神 Agent is displayed in <strong>Control Panel <\/strong>&gt; <strong>Programs and Features<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>On the Windows device, open the <strong>Control Panel<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Programs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Programs and Features<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c探花大神 Agent vX.X.X\u201d&nbsp;should be displayed in the programs pane if it\u2019s installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verifying the Windows Service<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The 探花大神 Agent operates as a Windows service, and may be viewed within Services Manager:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Right-click the&nbsp;<strong>Start Button<\/strong>&nbsp;and click&nbsp;<strong>Run&#8230;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the Open field, enter&nbsp;<strong>services.msc<\/strong>&nbsp;and click&nbsp;<strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The 探花大神 Agent&nbsp;service should be present, and under the Status column it should be listed as Running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verifying in the 探花大神 Admin Portal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can verify the Agent was installed correctly and works with 探花大神 device&#8217;s Insights tab:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"http:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">探花大神 Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT &gt; DEVICES<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A green checkmark in the Status column indicates that the Agent is actively reporting into 探花大神.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article guides you through the methods you can use to install the 探花大神 Agent on your Windows devices: Prerequisites [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":203,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_oasis_is_in_workflow":0,"_oasis_original":0,"_oasis_task_priority":"","inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"support_category":[2923,2852,2924],"support_tag":[],"coauthors":[2837,3011],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v22.9 (Yoast SEO v22.9) -
