{"id":75831,"date":"2023-06-05T13:10:37","date_gmt":"2023-06-05T17:10:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/?post_type=support&#038;p=75831"},"modified":"2023-06-05T13:10:37","modified_gmt":"2023-06-05T17:10:37","slug":"integrate-autotask-psa-in-mtp","status":"publish","type":"support","link":"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/integrate-autotask-psa-in-mtp","title":{"rendered":"Integrate Autotask PSA in the MTP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Autotask PSA integration in the 探花大神 Multi-Tenant Portal (MTP) allows you to stay informed on your costs and product usage, along with being alerted on actionable incidents in 探花大神.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>PSA Usage Integration for Billing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 探花大神 allows MSPs to have co-managed IT admins on the organizations they manage and allow new users to be onboarded at any time, your user count can change during a month as users are added or removed. The \u201cHigh Water-Mark\u201d is used for billing purposes, which is the highest number of users in the Client Organization for that month. This integration will keep you updated on these changes daily.<br><br>There are several steps to set up and use the integration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Create a new API User with the proper permissions and generate a Private Key and Secret for that user in Autotask PSA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide Authentication information in your 探花大神 MTP to connect to your Autotask PSA instance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the Company Type(s) that correspond to the billable customers in your Autotask PSA instance (this will ensure it\u2019s easier to select the billable companies in the next steps by filtering out prospects and other company types).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Map each 探花大神 client organization to the Autotask PSA Company, Contract, and Service that corresponds to the 探花大神 product you\u2019re billing your client for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Once the configuration is complete, 探花大神 will update the High Water-Mark (Quantity) and your cost per seat (Cost) in each service that\u2019s mapped.<br><br><br><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/prepare-autotask-psa-for-integration-in-mtp\">Prepare AutoTask PSA for 探花大神 Integration<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An Admin with Billing role is required to access Integrations within the MTP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You need to have the Autotask PSA integration set up in your 探花大神 MTP in order to map companies and contracts.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Service must be added to the Contract already in Autotask PSA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Considerations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Since 探花大神 uses the \u201cHigh Water-Mark\u201d for billing, the Quantity field will be updated with the current High Water-Mark for the month, and the Cost per Seat will be updated with your current cost per seat for the \u201cmapped\u201d 探花大神 Organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Updates occur daily at 12 PM EST, you may have to check back the next day for the integration to appear after it\u2019s been configured.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>Configuring the Autotask PSA Integration in your MTP<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To configure the integration<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to your MTP:&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the&nbsp;<strong>Integrations<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.\n<ul>\n<li>This is only visible for the Admin with Billing role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the&nbsp;<strong>Autotask PSA<\/strong>&nbsp;integration, click&nbsp;<strong>Configure<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy\/Paste the information from Autotask PSA into the required fields:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>User Name*<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This is the&nbsp;<strong>Private Key<\/strong>&nbsp;that you generated in Autotask PSA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Secret*<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This is the&nbsp;<strong>Private Secret<\/strong>&nbsp;that you generated in Autotask PSA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Verify And Save<\/strong>. 探花大神 will try connecting to your Autotask PSA instance. You\u2019ll either receive an \u201cIntegration has been created\u201d notification and can continue to configure, or you\u2019ll receive an error message. Check the data you submitted and try again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>If you still receive an error message, verify that the Private Key and Secret that you generated in the Autotask PSA API User you created are correct. For even further troubleshooting, you can try generating a new Private Key and Secret in the Autotask PSA API User.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re still having issues, please contact Support at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/contact\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/contact<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>If your Private Key and Secret have been compromised. Generate a new Private key and Secret for the API User in Autotask PSA. Then in your MTP, on the Autotask PSA integration, click&nbsp;<strong>Edit<\/strong>. Copy\/Paste the new Private Key and Secret, then click&nbsp;<strong>Verify And Update<\/strong>. Once the information is accepted successfully, the Secret will be hidden from the input field.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Next, you need to select which Company Types correspond to your active, billable customers. This allows for only the Company Type selected to show when you\u2019re mapping, and will prevent you from having to sort through an extensive list of all companies.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>To specify the Company Type of your billable companies<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Under&nbsp;<strong>Company Type(s)<\/strong>, select which type(s) you\u2019d like to filter by. Select all&nbsp;<strong>Company Types<\/strong>&nbsp;that are billable or active. You have to select at least one type before continuing.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once you&#8217;ve made a selection, it automatically saves. When you log back in, you&#8217;ll be directed to the&nbsp;<strong>Companies &amp; Contracts<\/strong>&nbsp;tab with no mapped companies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mapping a 探花大神 Organization to the Corresponding Autotask PSA Company<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To map Companies and Contracts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Autotask PSA integration and click on the&nbsp;<strong>Companies &amp; Contracts<\/strong>&nbsp;tab. For every 探花大神 Organization that the appropriate Autotask PSA company needs mapping to, there will be a&nbsp;<strong>Configure<\/strong>&nbsp;button, otherwise there will be&nbsp;<strong>Edit<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Disable<\/strong>&nbsp;options available. Click&nbsp;<strong>Configure<\/strong>, then under the&nbsp;<strong>Autotask PSA Company<\/strong>&nbsp;dropdown menu, select which company you want to map it to.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Be mindful that the naming conventions may differ slightly. Make sure you\u2019re mapping to the correct company.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Next, under&nbsp;<strong>Contract<\/strong>, open the dropdown menu and select the contract that corresponds to the company.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under&nbsp;<strong>Service<\/strong>, open the dropdown menu and select the service that corresponds to the contract.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under&nbsp;<strong>Non-Billable Users<\/strong>, you can subtract the number of users from the High Water Mark that you\u2019ll be invoicing your clients for. This is particularly useful in cases where you have active accounts that are used for administrative purposes and that you don\u2019t want to bill. If this isn\u2019t applicable to you, the number defaults to zero.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>. You\u2019ll receive a \u201cContracts have been saved\u201d notification.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Set Up Ticketing Alerts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The types of Ticketing alerts currently available are:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Disk Encryption Key Decrypted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User Admin Access Granted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User Lockout<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User Password Expired<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To set up Ticketing<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>In your MTP, click on the&nbsp;<strong>Integrations<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.\n<ul>\n<li>This is only available for the Admin with Billing role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the Autotask PSA integration, click&nbsp;<strong>Edit<\/strong>. You\u2019ll be asked to authenticate into your PSA.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you didn\u2019t save your username and secret, you need to regenerate those in order to enter them here and re-authenticate. Make sure the user you use to generate the API keys has ticket creation permissions.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Once you\u2019ve authenticated, a list of Alerts are displayed, along with the following configurable fields:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Category<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ticketing<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>ON<\/strong>\/<strong>OFF<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Priority<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>None<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>High<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Medium<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Low<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Status<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>None<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>In Progress<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>New<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Source<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Due Days<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Assign To<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Resource<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Queue<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you want ticketing alerts, toggle the&nbsp;<strong>Automated Ticketing<\/strong>&nbsp;on. This will cause selected issues to automatically generate a ticket in your PSA. This only applies to mapped companies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Edit<\/strong>&nbsp;next to any of the Alerts to configure and turn them on.\n<ul>\n<li>You can toggle&nbsp;<strong>Automatic Ticketing On<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Off<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can change the&nbsp;<strong>Priority<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Status<\/strong>, amount of&nbsp;<strong>Days Due<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Assign<\/strong>&nbsp;the ticket to a specific&nbsp;<strong>Resource<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You\u2019ll also need to toggle alerts on individually so that they generate tickets.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a><strong>Editing or Disabling the Autotask PSA Configuration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To edit or disable the configuration<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Autotask PSA integration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you need to edit any of the mapping, click&nbsp;<strong>Edit<\/strong>, make your changes and click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you need to disable any of the companies, click&nbsp;<strong>Disable<\/strong>&nbsp;next to the 探花大神 organization. You\u2019ll be prompted to confirm, and click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card notification-card warning\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/warning-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><p><strong>Warning:<\/strong> Disabling will remove all mappings selected for that organization and will not sync the data daily. If you want to sync the data again, you\u2019ll need to re-configure the mappings.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>If you need to disable the entire configuration, open the Autotask PSA integration and click on the integration tab.&nbsp;At the bottom, click&nbsp;<strong>Disable Integration &amp; Clear Data<\/strong>, you\u2019ll be prompted to confirm and click&nbsp;<strong>Disable &amp; Clear<\/strong>. You\u2019ll receive an \u201cIntegration has been disabled\u201d notification.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card notification-card warning\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/warning-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><p><strong>Warning:<\/strong> This removes all data including Authentication, Company, Contract and Service data in 探花大神. This action can\u2019t be undone. If you want to sync the data again, you\u2019ll need to re-configure the integration.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested in our other Integrations?
