See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/jumpcloud-password-manager-import-tool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Password Manager Import Tool<\/a> to learn more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Search Items<\/strong>: Click the search box to search for existing items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bell Icon: In the top right, click this icon to see notifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-items\">Items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the left pane, the saved items are visible and listed according to their type. Select any type (for example: Passwords) to see all the items saved under it. Click an item to see the details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u200b\u200bPasswords<\/strong>: click the icons next to the password field to see the password, copy it, and check the password history if available. Sort the items based on various criteria.\n<ul>\n<li>Password History: the clock icon in the Password field opens Password History. Click the three dots next to this button to see other options, such as <strong>Set Up 2FA<\/strong>, <strong>Launch Website<\/strong>, and <strong>Delete<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-select (Ctrl-click and shift-click on Windows; Cmd-click and shift-click on Mac) items to add to another folder from this list. You can also delete them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Payment Cards<\/strong>: Save your personal debit and credit card information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Secure Notes<\/strong>: Save important and confidential keys and content through secure notes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2FAs<\/strong>: Save your MFA credentials. You can link an existing saved password while adding 2FA items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ID Cards<\/strong>: Save your personal ID card credentials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Identities<\/strong>: Save Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as name, address, and city in this section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-adding-a-2fa-entry\">Adding a 2FA Entry <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/blog\/totp-mfa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Time-based one-time password<\/a> (TOTP) is often used in multi-factor authentication (2FA) as an added security layer. In a folder, the user can view and filter the items as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Sort the folders by clicking the dropdown.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To trigger a manual sync, click the three dots in the top right and click <strong>Sync Folder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>If you are experiencing sync issues with shared folders, make sure that all user&#8217;s Password Manager apps are on the latest version, and that no one is experiencing connectivity issues.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two types of folders in password manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-personal-folders\"><strong>Personal Folders<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The items saved in these folders are visible to you only. These items can\u2019t be accessed by others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>All your items are saved in the default personal folder by default.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you click a folder, all the items in it are displayed along with their details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-adding-a-folder\"><strong>Creating a New Personal Folder<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a new personal folder, follow these steps:<br><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1236\" height=\"864\" class=\"wp-image-115835\" style=\"width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Adding-a-Personal-Folder-in-Password-Manager.gif\" alt=\"A compilation of images displaying the process to add a personal folder in password manager app\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>In the top navigation bar, click the <strong>Add Item<\/strong> button and select <strong>Folder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the folder name, description and click <strong>Continue<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the items you want to share and click <strong>Continue<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the radio button for <strong>Personal Folder<\/strong>. Click <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Create Folder<\/strong>. A new folder is created and the user gets a notification in the desktop app.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-shared-folders\"><strong>Shared Folders<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>探花大神 Password Manager offers a seamless and secure solution for sharing passwords among team members within an organization. When trying to sync items in a shared folder, ensure that all team members are online and their PWM desktop apps are unlocked. If all members cannot be online, at least one member needs to be online so that the items being shared can sync at a later time to the rest of the members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card important\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/important-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Important:<\/strong> \n<p>If you add a user group to a shared folder, any user added to the group afterwards will also gain access to the folder.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-adding-a-new-shared-folder\"><strong>Creating a New Shared Folder<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>You only have the option to select <strong>Shared<\/strong> if you have appropriate permissions from your admin.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To create a shared folder in password manager, follow these steps:<br><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1236\" height=\"866\" class=\"wp-image-115836\" style=\"width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Adding-a-Shared-Folder-in-Password-Manager.gif\" alt=\"A compilation of images displaying the process to add a shared folder in password manager app\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open the 探花大神 Password Manager app on your device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the (+) button and select <strong>Folder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type the name and description (optional) of the folder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under Folder type, select <strong>Shared<\/strong>.<br><strong>Note<\/strong>: A personal folder can be created and converted into a shared folder later, if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the next section, Select the checkboxes to add users and user groups. You can select the users and user groups with whom you want to share items through this folder. The <strong>Move To Folder <\/strong>button appears.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>To select multiple passwords, press:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CTRL<\/strong>\/<strong>CMD<\/strong> + <strong>A<\/strong> keys (for all passwords) OR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CTRL<\/strong>\/<strong>CMD<\/strong> key + each password (multiple Individual passwords) OR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shift<\/strong> key + password (multiple consecutive passwords).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Click <strong>Move To Folder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the folder you want to move the items to and click <strong>Move Items To Folder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>These items will be moved out of their current folder, which may impact access.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deleting a Folder<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To delete a folder, click the three dots next to the folder name and click <strong>Delete Folder<\/strong>.&nbsp;You can delete multiple folders as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>After deleting a folder, the items in a shared folder are moved to the default personal folder of the user who created the items.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-paired-devices\">Paired Devices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This section shows the paired devices with which your password manager account is associated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Clicking a device shows more information about the device such as the operating system and browser extensions on the device, if any. You can edit the name of the device and connect extensions for different browsers as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To disconnect, select the device from the list then click the three dots next to the <strong>Edit<\/strong> button. To remove the item permanently, click the three dots next to the <strong>Recover<\/strong> button. If disabled, the app will not lock after locking the device. It is set to&nbsp;<strong>Enabled<\/strong>&nbsp;by default.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lock Schedule: You can set the duration after which password manager will lock if the device stays unlocked. It is set to 60 minutes by default.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Require Authentication On Every Log-In Request: <strong>Disabled<\/strong> by default.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Touch ID for Login: <strong>Enabled<\/strong> by default.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Logs\n<ul>\n<li>Download Logs: click this to download the debug logs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delete Account\n<ul>\n<li>Delete Password Manager Account: click this to delete your account. This action is irreversible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lock Application: clicking this will log you out from the application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-linux-specific-information\">Linux Specific Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Linux builds do not work on ARM architecture, and do not allow for biometric authentication at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The Appimage build is no longer supported.
