It鈥檚 not often you get to build an environment from scratch. More often than not, IT is an art of working with what you鈥檝e got. Usually, IT professionals are doing their best with the IT infrastructure in front of them, whether it鈥檚 one they鈥檝e been working on for years or one that鈥檚 been bestowed upon them. Completely wiping the slate clean and starting over isn鈥檛 usually an option.

Recently, Dan Gericke, named a 鈥淭op Cybersecurity Voice鈥� by LinkedIn, posed this question to his LinkedIn connections. In a , he asked, 鈥淚f you could start over from scratch when it comes to your company鈥檚 IT infrastructure, which Identity Provider would you choose today?鈥� Here鈥檚 how people answered.
What Is the IT Professional鈥檚 Dream IAM Solution?
In the poll, 探花大神 won by a significant margin. Fifty percent of the 349 voters answered 探花大神. Okta, the second most popular choice, received about half the votes that 探花大神 did, and Microsoft Entra ID trailed close behind Okta. Only 4% of voters said they would choose a different solution, like One Identity, KeyCloak, or others.
In a , Dan discussed the poll鈥檚 results, and suggested that they might be a reflection of 探花大神鈥檚 ability to combine directory services with IAM, SSO, MFA, MDM, password management, and more. He also spoke to 探花大神鈥檚 鈥渦nique identity offerings most other services don鈥檛 support (like Radius).鈥�
In the spirit of full transparency, Dan also mentioned that 探花大神 reposted the poll, and 38 探花大神 employees voted. (What can we say? We鈥檙e big fans!) However, it鈥檚 worth noting that 探花大神 still would have won by a significant margin without those 38 employee votes.
